I am writing this after a beautiful week filled with my family, especially, the girls. I am filled with gratitude and happiness! You would think Easter is already here! Alas (lol), it is not. I attended the parish mission and received valuable actions to include in my daily schedule. One of them is to begin my day saying, "I give you my heart, Jesus. I give you my mind Jesus. I give you my body, Jesus. I give you my soul, Jesus." I wonder if this prayer has anything to do with my glorious week? Try it and I wonder what you will find out?
We are registered with Catholic Heart Workcamp to complete our first service week retreat. We will be going July 12-18 to Huntingburg, Indiana. This is in the Diocese of Evansville. It is where A League of Their Own was filmed. I am told this site is really welcoming to the students. So much so many groups request to return to this location year after year. It is, also, close to the childhood home of Abraham Lincoln. This opportunity will combine worship, praise, adoration and small group experiences in addition to service to the community.

Hi. Long time no communication. Let's say I have been on sabbatical </body></html>
and now it is time to get back into the swing of things. It seems fitting I return to all of you as we prepare for Lent. I have done much reflecting over the past months. I have decided what I should include in my day-to-day as I return to work and regular daily habits to create the best version of myself.  The bewildering thing is I haven't mastered including these things everyday, yet! This is where Lent comes in. As I prepare for the greatest gift I will slip up. However, I will keep doing my best to include decisions and actions that will bring me closer to the best version of myself. Because Lent is a time not just for giving up but to include action which will last long beyond Easter Sunday.

College Students - We are finishing Rediscovering the Saints. This was given to parishioners during Christmas. It's an easy and reflective read.  I know all of  you have at least one copy in your house. Pick it up and read a few of the chapters. You won't regret it. Our next book will be Bearing False Witness - Debunking Centuries of Anti-Catholic History. I hope you can join us.
